SMALL BUSINESS WEEK IS ALL ABOUT OPPORTUNITY!!

It is an opportunity to celebrate small business.

This could not be more important than in the City of Kawartha Lakes. Stop to consider the contribution small business makes to our economy, the number of people it employs, or the goods and services that it supplies to the community. In fact, it would be difficult to think of a local organization that could survive without small business.

That is why what began as a small local initiative for new businesses in the City of Kawartha Lakes has grown to an annual event of excellence for our many owners and entrepreneurs. It is truly a chance for us to recognize, appreciate and yes, to celebrate small business.

It is also an opportunity for small businesses to prosper.

Small Business Week provides businesses with opportunities to grow, to have local businesses be recognized, to learn more about ways to help your business, to network with other businesses, and to find out first-hand what support is available for small businesses in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

As an organizing committee, we want owner/operators be aware of what’s out there, what they need to know, who can help, and what’s involved. The committee not only keeps coming up with great ideas and subjects of importance but then goes about creating the venues and the opportunities for businesses to gain what they need to be more successful.
